I just finished a scarf! No thanks to Bea:

She stole back “her” chair every time I got up to adjust tension or advance the warp.

Here is number three:

I used an acrylic (I think) white yarn for the pattern color here.

I hope to be done with this warp soon soon soon.

I had a couple of weird, long triangular pieces of plaid fabric left over from a skirt I made a while ago.

I finally figured out a useful way to use them!

okay so my concept here is a scarf that doesn’t get bulky under coats or other shirts

Slow going…

considering buying a spinning wheel.

Here is scarf number two

It’s blue! but It looks grey because everything is grey today.

I am currently spinning more blue yarn (one handed) in the hopes of finishing the second scarf tonight and maybe starting the third and last overshot scarf on this warp.

Next in line: Silk!

Slow going. I have to spin constantly to have enough yarn for pattern. Maybe someday I’ll own a spinning wheel.

Whenever I get enough quarters together to wash the bamboo fabric I’ll post it!

So many delicious things are coming out of the garden! I made a galette with the squash and tomatoes and a zucchini from the farmer’s market and goat cheese!

I also did a small sewing project!

I made a cover for the cushion on my weaving chair.

I mostly wanted something that would keep the cushion from sliding off the chair. Cat hair control being the secondary reason. Bea’s favorite place to nap is my loom chair and she is a shedding machine. Now I can take off the cover and wash it when Bea’s hair gets to be too much.

Temporarily. I tied things together with twine.

Unfortunately my laziness and the broken part ruined the tension of the cloth on the loom, so I had to cut off the small bit I had woven. I am in the process of tying on again.

On the plus side I get to see what the fabric looks like off the loom. It is very soft.
